80stees Got Naked: The Geek Shirts HQ T-Shirt Brand Undressed

In the eighties I was sporting a mullet, wearing a Frankie Says Relax T shirt and trying very hard to get to first base with the ladies.

 

Kevin on the other hand was dreaming of starting his own clothing business based on the eighties, his favorite decade!

 

So he jumped into his Delorean when back to the future and found out the future trends that will one day make his fortune

 

Fast forward to 2012 and Kevin is known as the new Hugh Hefner, he has been called a playboy and a guru of eighties fashion.

We sell officially licensed merch so our designs come from companies that have licenses, or in some cases we have our own licenses and design the tees ourselves.  We are very involved in coming up with concepts for designs even when we don’t have a license, though.

Where did you get the name 80sTees?

The t-shirts I wanted to sell were from my childhood, and I grew up in the 80s.  So I created the term 80sTees.

Can you tell me more about the brand 80sTees?

"This Panthor and Skeletor Shirt features He-Man's nemesis along with his evil feline companion. Skeletor is holding his Havoc Staff while he sits on the throne of Snake Mountain."

What makes 80sTees different from other Apparel Vendors? What is your USP?

80sTees.com exists to help people connect with other members of their pop culture tribe. 

We aren’t out just to sell t-shirts.  We could have made a lot of sales of some items that don’t have a pop culture theme over the years like Orange County Choppers, the UFC style Jersey Shore tees, or political tees.  But those tees don’t fit our mission and we stick to our mission.

What’s coming next for 80sTees?

"Now you can burn people without opening your mouth BAZINGA! with this Big Bang Theory shirt based on the catch phrase created by Sheldon Cooper."

Where do you see yourself in 10 years both for yourselves and your business?

I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you.

When getting your apparel printed what is the process that you prefer?

"This Darth Vader shirt features Vader resting his boom box on his shoulder."

What brands of apparel do you prefer to print on?

We like Next Level, Gildan, and Alstyle.  They provide good value and let us keep our prices reasonable.

What would a customer expect when ordering a product from yourselves?

They should expect to get the t-shirt they ordered in perfect condition, and they should expect it to ship from our warehouse very fast.
