We have Pheva, a cool new street wear brand influenced by London, Paris and Jamaica. They have excellent collection and are here to tell you more about their brand and two of their awesome designs.
Over to you guys!
Pheva is the culture, lifestyle and influences of the two founders: Paul Henriques, born in London to Jamaican parents, and "Sage", Guadeloupe born and Paris raised.Friends for many years, Sage has a past life promoting rap groups in Paris and Paul’s background is in the web design industry in Shoreditch, London.Last year they decided to bring to life the brand that had been kicking around in their minds for years, something that would represent their heritage and background, something they thought was missing from streetwear.Pheva was born with West Indian DNA, UK quirk and French flair. We mix our heritage with a love of old skool Hip Hop. This is especially evident in two of our designs, “King Bones” and “Windrush”.
Our King Bones tee features a 3 colour silk screened skull and crossbones motif laden with old skool style over the top jewellery. The idea behind this design is that today, “bling” is dead. But it looks great on a t-shirt!
The period of immigration from the West Indies to the UK from the late 50’s to late 60’s is known as the Windrush Generation. The Windrush tee features a digital print of a photograph that was taken back in the early 60’s of West Indian immigrant to the UK. We licensed this photo for exclusive use on our tees from the actual photographer who took the pic, Howard Grey.Pheva is a truly independent label, our tees currently only available online at PHEVA.COM.Launching with four quality silk screen printed designs and one quality digital print on soft organic tees, only 100 of each design will be printed. Each tee shirt has a unique, individually numbered label on the front.
The Pheva crew are currently in the lab and are going to keep the heat coming in 2013.
