Geek Shirts HQ Welcomes Thunder Apparel…..The Latest Brand To Get Undressed
Who are the people behind Thunder Apparel? Can you start by giving some background about yourself? Where you are from? How did you get into selling t shirts?
We are Bailey & Mike, in 2007 while both living in Lincoln we played in a band until Bailey went to university in Leeds and I moved to London. I had studied graphic design and Bailey studied Music.
Over Skype we started some ideas for tee designs as a creative outlet.
We scraped together enough to print 1 batch of 50 tees, and started up a website and kept reinvesting every penny made into new tees, and eventually different garments.
Who creates the designs?
We design everything ourselves, for the time being at least.
What process do you follow when designing new apparel?
We bounce ideas off each other, and work those ideas into our own style. We love having complete creative control and being able to do new things without any restrictions.
How would you describe your design style?
I find it hard to describe our style, other than fresh and bold.
Where did you get the name Thunder Apparel?
You can definitely get too hung up on a name, so we did the same as when we were naming the band, choosing words from cartoons and video games, and Thunder came to mind.
It was to remember, simple and not too wordy.
What’s coming next for Thunder Apparel?
Obviously it'll be great to progress into the future with more options when it comes to creating interesting custom products and have items for every section of your wardrobe.
Someone once said 'If you have a job you love you'll never work a day in your life' and that's very true.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years both for yourselves and your business?
In ten years we'll be happy so long as we're still doing what we do now on a larger scale.
We want to be a brand people come to first that they want to wear, and to which they keep coming back.
How much importance do you place on Facebook Twitter and similar sites when marketing your brand?
Living in the time we do, as an online business you'd be mad to ignore social networks.
And from a customer point of view, to know you can always get in touch with someone from the brand is a great comfort and peace of mind.
What would a customer expect when ordering a product from you?
Customers can expect a great quality product delivered quickly with great service.
Who is the female model you have in your product shots? 🙂
Our model is called Sophie Cash.
Where is the best place to find your designs and buy some of your shirts? And of course get in contact with you
Any new products in the pipeline for Thunder Apparel that we need to look out for?
