Today we have Beth, the owner of a new apparel brand from the UK called Unorthodox Apparel.
I had the opportunity to interview this young lady to find more about the brand.
Why did you start Unorthodox Apparel?
I started Unorthodox Apparel because I love designing things and making my own clothes, I noticed that a lot of brands were doing well and having success so I thought, why not?
When did you start?
I started roughly 1 month ago so it's just started out
Where are you based?
I'm based in the North West of England
The Logo Tee came from just the idea of having a 'classic' tee (£9.99)
Where did you get name Unorthodox Apparel?
I wanted the brand to be different from others and the definition of unorthodox is 'contrary of the usual and traditional' so it fit well and had a nice ring to it.
What else can you tell me about Unorthodox Apparel?
It's just me running it on my own (Beth age 17) and I really want to do well!
What printing process do you use when printing a tee and the brand of tee you use?
I've used transfer printing on the first two tee's (logo and mountains tee) but I'm looking to use screen printing and sublimation printing in the future. Designs are printed on Fruit of the Loom t-shirts.
Mountains idea came from just searching the internet for inspiration and really liking the original image and tweaking it a bit to make it unique to the brand (£11.99)
What can someone expect when ordering a product from you?
You can expect same day dispatch on all orders before 1pm on weekdays, quick delivery and great customer service!
What plans have you got for the future?
I have lots of designs planned and I hope to be able to produce these in the future, as well as offering more products, such as beanies, jumpers, vests etc.
